Wright Tree Service Safety Training Video Series Complete

August 24, 2017

Wright Tree Service has a series of safety training videos on the three main hazards employees will encounter on a jobsite. The goal of the three main hazards video series is to encourage safe work practices and emphasize the importance of safety in the utility vegetation management industry.

These videos are targeted to new employees at Wright Tree Service but are also intended to be useful for all employees as well as others in the utility vegetation management industry and the general public.

Our goal at Wright Tree Service is to continue educating employees and promoting safe and productive crews. To continue putting a strong emphasis on our company’s number one value of safety, the company plans to release additional safety training videos each year. All Wright Tree Service safety training videos can be found in both English and Spanish at www.wrighttree.com/safetyvideos.

Safety: Our Highest Priority

The series began in 2012 with the release of the first video, “Safety: Our Highest Priority.” The video highlights the Brother’s Keeper motto that guides the company’s focus on safety—our most important value. It reviews three main hazards employees will encounter on a jobsite and emphasizes the message that all injuries are preventable.

Drop Zone Safety Awareness: Pruning and Felling

“Drop Zone Safety Awareness: Pruning and Felling,” the second video in series, highlights proper procedures for pruning limbs and felling trees as a utility line clearance worker. The video reviews the planning stage of tree pruning and felling, and roping techniques to control limbs and trees. In addition, it reviews the drop zone and caution zone areas, and identifies potential hazards that may occur while working on a jobsite.

Electrical Hazard Awareness

The third video in the series, “Electrical Hazard Awareness” covers the main hazards of direct and indirect contact with electric power lines and other energized conductors and identifies potential hazards that may occur while working on a jobsite. The video highlights maintaining proper distance from a power line and energized conductor, and the importance of properly maintaining and storing tools and equipment.

Fall Hazard Awareness

“Fall Hazard Awareness” is the last video in the series, discussing several steps to follow to avoid falling while working on a jobsite. The video highlights a pre-job survey to identify potential hazards, proper tie in at all times, proper footing, three points of contact when entering or exiting a piece of equipment or vehicle, and emphasizes the Wright Tree Service Brother’s and Sister’s Keeper motto.
