Wright Tree Service: ISA Silver Level Patron
Chairman and CEO Scott Packard was featured in the ISA Today, a publication of the International Society of Arboriculture. Scott spoke about Wright Tree Service’s relationship with the ISA and how the company has benefitted from the partnership and involvement.
“Over the years, Wright Tree Service has benefited greatly from its partnership with the International Society of Arboriculture, taking part in opportunities at both the corporate and divisional levels,” said Wright Tree Service Chairman and CEO Scott Packard.
The company’s corporate involvement has extended from participation in tradeshows to sponsorship of ISA, the TREE Fund, and Tour des Trees. On the divisional level, employees are very active in local ISA chapters and attending and sponsoring workshops, tradeshows, training, and tree climbing competitions. In July 2011, Foreman Edmund Turner won the ISA Midwestern Chapter Tree Climbing Championship, qualifying to represent the chapter at the 2011 ISA Annual Conference and Trade Show in Australia. In addition to the company’s participation in ISA sponsored events, Wright Tree Service is also proud to have many ISA Certified Arborists, Tree Worker Climber Specialists, and Utility Specialists on staff.
Involvement with ISA has also led Wright Tree Service to partner with affiliate organizations, such as the Utility Arborist Association (UAA) and the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA). Through these organizations, they have been able to give back to the industry, taking an active role in committees and leadership. Scott Packard has served on both the Ethics and Voice for Trees Political Action committees for TCIA and served as chair of the organization from 2008 to 2009. Currently, Chief Financial Officer Terry McGonegle is serving on the TCIA Audit Committee. President Will Nutter is a past president of the UAA and a current member of its Education Committee, and Corporate Communication Manager Brescia Berg serves on the ISA Public Relations Committee and UAA Editorial Committee.
“Wright Tree Service recognizes that our partnership with ISA is influential to the successes of our employees and company as a whole,” Packard said. “We are a proud member and look forward to many more years working together.”
