Wright Tree Service Promotes Thompson and Vosberg to Regional Manager

March 4, 2024

Wright Tree Service, an employee-owned company specializing in utility vegetation management, recently promoted two internal leaders to regional manager positions in the U.S.

Gavin Thompson will preside over operations in California, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. He joined WTS in 2010 and has worked as a crew leader, general foreperson, project manager and division manager. He has more than 18 years of experience in the utility vegetation management industry. He is an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist and member of the Utility Arborist Association.

“I am very excited about the new opportunities that come along with being regional manager,” said Thompson. “I can’t wait to dive in and better understand my expanded territory. I look forward to building relationships with the customer base and adding value to their vegetation programs.”

Shane Vosberg will oversee operations in Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. He has held various positions in the vegetation management industry since 2005. Vosberg joined WTS in 2020 as a division manager. He holds a bachelor’s degree in park management and a master’s degree in industrial management. Vosberg is a Certified Tree Care Safety Professional, ISA Certified Arborist, and TapRooT instructor.

“I am looking forward to further developing business partnerships with our current and potential customers, providing support to the management team within the region, and the opportunity to help grow the company for our employee owners,” said Vosberg.

Vice President of Operations Adam Larson believes Thompson and Vosberg are poised for continued success in their respective areas. “Both Gavin and Shane exemplify WTS values and will excel in their new roles,” he said. “I am very proud of the work they do to support our customers, employees, and company.”
